Partner Halima Horton White has 20 years of experience representing and advising employers. She recently first-chaired a federal jury trial on a “reverse” race discrimination matter and obtained a complete defense verdict. She also represented employers in sexual harassment jury trials, numerous labor arbitrations and other hearings. She obtained summary judgment for clients dozens of times and presented oral argument to the Sixth Circuit, which affirmed summary judgment to her client. Halima typically represents clients in wage and hour/overtime pay matters; race, age, disability, or sex discrimination, harassment, or retaliation matters; and non-compete matters. Halima honed her employment law experience at a national employment law boutique and while serving as a partner at an AmLaw 100 law firm.
In addition to her agency and litigation representation, Halima conducts investigations for clients and provides training to managers on compliance with employment laws. For example, she travelled within the United States and to China, India and Sweden to train a client’s managers on how to conduct effective ethics and compliance investigations. She is bilingual and conducted training on professionalism in the workplace, in Spanish, in Mexico and Puerto Rico. Halima also provides legal advice and counsel to employers. She has served as a mediator to help parties resolve disputes in hundreds of matters.

“I love art – paintings, photography, sculptures and mobiles. Like a good legal brief, true artists trigger viewers’ feelings. I also love interior decorating, cycling, and spending time outdoors. My free time is spent with my husband, family, and dog Piper.”
