Attorney Tennille Hoover Returns to ELS

Tennille Hoover is an attorney with ELS. Using her former experience as an HR director for an employer with over 6000 employees, Tennille provides strategic employment law representation and counseling to complement organizational management and minimize legal liability.

Tennille is highly skilled in managing, analyzing, and problem-solving a wide array of HR matters, including employee discipline, reward and recognition, employee relations issues, performance management, and absence management. She concentrates her practice on advice and counseling, training and development, HR documentation review, and agency representation to companies, non-profit entities, government agencies and educational institutions. Tennille also specializes in developing HR documentation for start-up and developing companies, including employee handbooks, HR policies and procedures, and SOPs.

Tennille has represented clients before the Eleventh Circuit, the Northern and Middle Districts of Georgia, the state courts of Georgia, the Department of Justice, the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, and other administrative hearing bodies.

Tennille graduated summa cum laude, Phi Beta Kappa from Spelman College. She earned her Juris Doctorate from the University of Minnesota Law School, where she served as Editor-in-Chief of Law and Inequality: A Journal of Theory and Practice. Tennille also served as President of the Black Law Students Association.

Tennille is a certified senior human resources professional as recognized by the HR Certification Institute and a Gallup-Certified Strengths Coach. She is also a Mentor with the ELS Mentor Program.
