Tennille Hoover is an attorney with ELS. Tennille’s daily involvement in both legal and HR matters brings a unique perspective to ELS because not only does she handle employment issues on the legal side, but she also understands the day-to-day experiences businesses encounter with their employees.

Tennille focuses her litigation practice in defending employers in a variety of employment matters, with an emphasis in advice and counseling, agency representation, and federal litigation. Tennille has represented clients before the District Courts of Georgia, the Eleventh Circuit, the Department of Justice, the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, the state courts of Georgia, and other administrative hearing bodies.

Outside of ELS, Tennille holds the position of Director of Employee Relations with Atlanta Public Schools. In that role, Tennille is responsible for overseeing employee relations services and performance management. She frequently handles employee grievances, investigations of alleged employee misconduct, employee discipline, ADA reasonable accommodations, and employee evaluations.

Tennille graduated summa cum laude, Phi Beta Kappa from Spelman College, receiving a Bachelor of Arts in English with a minor in Drama. She received her Juris Doctorate from the University of Minnesota Law School, where she served as Editor-in-Chief of Law and Inequality: A Journal of Theory and Practice and President of the Black Law Students Association.

Tennille is a Gallup-Certified Strengths Coach. She is also a Mentor with the ELS Mentor Program.
